Jennings is the starter for this year. How long have you been watching LSU football for? Miles will play the most senior guy if it's remotely close.

Jennings makes a Mett-esque type of improvement ala 2012 to 2013

The reason Mett made that big leap was because he was because he went from having Studrawa as the OC in 2012 to having Cam as OC in 2013. That's why there was a big and quick improvement.

Jennings has been in Cam's system for two years. Any improvement from here on out will be slight, at best.

He is and even if Harris does improve and Jennings stays as pathetic as he has been, Jennings will probably start.
JJ Part II - the sequel is usually always worse than the Original and this one will be horrific if Jennings is anywhere close to the field next season

I want to believe that Harris will start the first game of the season but I have a hard time believing he will overtake Jennings in the off season.

That has literally never happened under les and I don't expect it to happen now.

I expect Jennings to trot out onto the field for the first game of the year and I could see him getting booed.

I agree. There were many, many reasons throughout this season to give Harris many more chances than Les gave him. The fact that Les stuck Harris on the bench leads me to believe that he saw no value in getting Harris experience for next year, knowing that our offense couldn't be any worse.

So he's going with Jennings next year, barring an injury, or divine intervention.

With BH's talent, it shouldn't be remotely close next season.

He just needs to decide if he's going to realize that he has an opportunity of a lifetime and to outwork everyone on the team. If he does that, he will blow everyone's minds.

With a full spring and summer training, there should be no need for him to "get his feet wet" or anything like that. He should be firing on all cylinders by the fall. Anything less than that is a disappointment.

Your hypotheticals are not equally likely to happen.
There is a real chance that Harris will play with poise that he did not show last season. No bumbled snaps. No time outs.
A man.

If Jennings can throw the 20 to 30 yard sideline pass with accuracy (not into the stands) and never throw behind guys coming over the middle, that would be enough for me.
I never in my wildest dreams see Jennings = Mett.
Mett, injuries and all, made an NFL team and started when the #1 was injured. Mett may end up being a decent NFL pro.

IMO, you start the guy with more potential and more time left in college. Jennings has enough physical talent to be a good QB, but something is just off about him. His accuracy is beyond horrible and his decision making seems very slow.

Harris has a Michael Vick laser arm. He has the mobility of a Marcus Mariota. His problems are lack of reading a defense, knowledge of the playbook, panicking at the first sign of a pass rush, and his tendency to sail passes (ala Mett in 2012).

If he can get into focus, this team is playoffs ready. That's if he can though. Guy has amazing talent. He just has to get the mental stuff down. His problems aren't some hard to fix things. Cam coached NFL rookie QBs into NFL stars (fixed Brees problem, turned Flacco from just an FCS QB with a cannon arm to a legit passer, turned Phillip Rivers into a star with the Chargers), in addition to fixing some of Mett's glaring problems.

Harris would've started every game for me after the Wisconsin game if it was my decision.

Harris has far better talent to tap.
The frightening factor is does AJ come in when Brandon gets injured? We're right back in the same boat. Look at our final four games in which we will need a seasoned healthy QB.
