When Keehn shanks one, it still goes 25-30 yards net. I don't recall any 10 yarders or such.

Keehn was very inconsistent his 1st year as starting punting at LSU. But they fixed his mechanics for the bowl game that season and last year was fine

He had just as many wtf punts this season as he did last season.

He definitely did against Notre Dame.

LSU was 7th in the nation last season in net punting average, that's a great stat.

And that includes 2 long returns given up against Florida. Makes the stat all the more impressive.

I don't get the Kheen hate.

This was Bama's punter. No where near Australia.

My mistake, not sure where I got that from.

Nonsense. You aren't 2nd team All SEC punter as voted by the coaches with inconsistent punting. You're wrong, and objective evidence proves it.

Apparently, some of these posters mis-set their DVRs and rewatched the 2013 games and missed the 2014 season. Pretty laughable to act like Keehn wasn't fantastic when he was 2nd team All Sec punter!

BS...3 punts for 43 yard average! Try again! What was the bad one....35 yards?

Keehn averaged 44.9 yards per punt last season. That was not too bad.

JK Scott is an absolute weapon for Bama. We need a weapon like that in the punting game after Keehn leaves...whoever it maybe Gonsoulin, K Pfau, or Growden. Or whoever we just need a darn good punter again like Wing!!

Watch out for Kyle Pfau. Kid can flat out punt/kick

Yeah, I criticize the recruiting services for several reasons but there is an obvious #1 that you just touched on. Why in the hell is a punter or PK not rated 5* in ANY years? There are certain guys...Brad Wing being one...that clearly was a 5* prospect. And I promise you, even if had been a US HS senior, he would have been rated no higher than 3*.

Looking at his injury history, I can see why he wants to punt. Much safer than Aussie rules, he has had broken leg and other bad injuries.

Then how do you explain him being 2nd team All SEC punter as chosen by the SEC coaches? Let me guess... that rewarded him for supposedly shanking a punt vs them every game?

Still had more shanks than I'd like to see from an LSU punter

He had very few shanks in 2014. Once again, this is the classic revisit of the Brandon LaFell myth. BL had that hideous year at LSU where he played more like a CB than a WRer...knocking every pass down that came to him. But the next year, BL was a very reliable WRer with very few drops. But yet, he got stained his LSU career by one year. That is what is happening with Keehn. He improved dramatically....fine average, few returns, few miss-kicks, 2nd team All-SEC and people only remember 2013.
