He actually was telling people to prepare to lose a few of those last year.

He didn't stick with that 5for5 for long

I still don't understand why we are going hard after CBs. We have 6 on roster and 2 more who will sign on NSD. Even if you say Lewis will be a safety, 7 is enough for a 2 man rotation, 3rd string for both spots, plus a nickel corner. Then Lewis will play down at nickel if we happen to need him (this is assuming he gets moved to safety).

Didn't you hear? We are moving to a 4-1-6 defense next season. "We don't need no stinking LBs"

He posted that column on NOLA exactly 1 day before the announcements...5 for 5. Then, on Twitter the next morning of the announcements, indeed he started to take them off 1 by 1. Yes, by the time they announced, he was perfect. But c'mon, you can't give a guy credit for getting them right literally a couple of hours before they announce.

Everyone here and every other site had the same thoughts. You're just singling him out.

Actually, almost no one that I remember had Speedy Noil going to LSU. As I remember, a lot of the 24/7 CBs had him going to A&M MONTHS before the announcement. I admit that Willis pretty much lied to everyone including Mike Detillier who said he was shocked. But Brown was very questionable, and he flat out ignored all the Noil to A&M talk. As far as "singling him out" when he puts himself forth as being a recruiting expert as far as LSU goes, yeah, he gets held accountable for how close he is to LSU results in recruiting.

This is why we are still pursuing CBs. Our depth is all numbers at this point and since Raymond has seen these kids for a year he knows what they are capable of and he still wants CBs. That tells me some of the guys on the roster aren't ready, aren't good enough or aren't CBs.

Sorry this is silly. We will have 8 CBs and nearly every last one of them are at least a 4 star talented player. If you can't find a solid two out of the bunch we have, you are lying your arse off. A 9th CB will have the same excuses you just said the others have.

Come on man.

Who you have on your roster has almost nothing to do with it. When these recruits are experienced enough to be relied upon we will no longer have those other guys on our roster.

STOP. We have recruited 4 CBs already this year, that is enough.

White junior
Thomas RS junior (could also get a medical RS)
Gage sophomore
Paris sophomore
Cutrer think he would be classified as a redshirt sophomore
Toliver freshman
Lewis freshman
Jackson freshman

That's at least two years stocked full at CB. We are loaded depth and talent wise. Also what are you talking about????? Collins and Mills started as true freshman. White then started as a true freshman. Mathieu played a shite ton as true freshman. Peterson started the back half as a true freshman.

Don't give me that garbage like people don't expect these guys to contribute a good bit year one. We preach contributing year one.

I posted this earlier.

To be fair about the 5/5. Tony Brown got "snookered"'by saint Saban acting like he had a heart. Speedy lied to the coaches probably by instruction. And the brother of the Bammer was just plain nuts.

Not even Notradamus could have predicted that one.
Unless you are going on the record right now to predict the 5 next recruits then cut the dude some slack.

I'm not even sure who we are talking about here. My statement is for everyone that tried to predict that fiasco last year.

We ended up with LF and Adams and I was as happy as I could be.
