Is anyone else as excited for this as I am? Freaking awesome game with a ton of style.

It kind of predated online play and all I could think of after my 50th scenario against cpu's is how awesome a modern redux of this game would be with solid online matchmaking.

It's been without an official release date for a year or so now but I saw recently they are advertising Feb25 on Steam.

Can't wait.

My body is ready. I'm going to be running through the campaigns again, I always loved how in 2, units and veterancy carries over from mission to mission.

Yeah I remember massing stuff by the end of mission 1 and then your mother ship pulls up to mission 2 and all of them start coming out in a huge line and getting into formation.

This game has to be at the top of the list of games way before their time. I think it would still feel like a rather modern game even though its over 10 yrs old.

Yep, have had the Collector's Edition pre-ordered for months. Unfortunately, it launches about the same time as my physiology final, so I have got a big decision to make

$30 is steep for this, but I've always wanted to play Homeworld.

Such an awesome game. Has a perfect rock, paper, scissors hierarchy to the units.

Very true, but there will be a ton of suckers like me

I'm sure this will be one of those games that goes crazy low in a steam sale.

I got it and was only able to mess with it for a half hour yesterday. Played a skirmish against AI; the game has alot of graphics/hud bugs they didnt work out. For some reason, anything with an in game overlay (MSI afterburner) breaks the HUD. Lots of people are complaining about bugs in the campaign, but I haven't played it yet.

It is so pretty though. The new models are gorgeous, and the style of the game was so ahead of its time; doesn't feel like an old game at all.

Boy do I have a lot to remember about playing this game. I hardly remember how anything works at all. In my skirmish all the AI immediately started going straight down and they got so far underneath me that I couldn't even see them without opening tactical map. I couldn't even figure out how to follow them; the only way I could move off the 2d plane was to fly to an allied ship. It feels like an eternity since I last played the game and I can't remember anything

I'll be back at it tonight. Might try to play against some humans

I played through most of the original Homeworld 1 campaign about a year ago, so I should only need a little refresher. I wasn't able to play last night, but hopefully I'll get some time tonight.

I wonder how many of the bugs, at least in the campaign, are new bugs introduced by gearbox, or old bugs that were intentionally left in.

Played a bunch this weekend. Pretty fun MP even though the programming is shite right now for it. It's officially in "beta" so I guess that's expected. Very rarely does a game start and no one gets kicked out. It's hard to have teams because of that, so FFA is popular.

There's a lot of people who played the originals a lot so I get smashed most of the time. Last night I saw multiple people with a kamikaze strategy I don't know quite how to stop. They would just mass fighters and scouts and kamikaze my flagship and carrier and kill them in like a couple of seconds. I was trying to mass anti fighter units but couldn't get all of them fast enough. Kinda cheese.
