what current lower rated LSU commitments or potential commitments (3 star or below) have the most upside potential for playing on Sundays?

Dj welter 3* project but with the right playing time and experience I believe he could do a lot more than just be good at lining people up

Chidi 3* on Rivals.

Lol at that rating, but I'm going to exploit it for use in this thread.

He has an ELITE OT ceiling.

Chidi and Jazz if we're using Rivals ratings.

edit: Just saw Brossette is a 3* on Rivals now...when did this happen?

Goes to show you how over-rated the "star" system is. Yes, more 5 stars make it than 3 stars, etc, but there is SO much to it that is not accounted for in that system. Size and measureables are just one factor, but are weighted too heavily in the recruiting/star system in my opinion.

The NFL knows this, the colleges do too to a lesser extent. It is a BIG reason why the NFL conducts FBI-like background checks, interviews, etc. before they draft anybody and give them milliions.

A lot of the discrepancy between the rating systems and the actual success of the prospects (as indicated by the superbowl player ave. rating) is due to simple math. There may be 30 5-stars and 250 4-stars, but there are probably 2,000 or more 3-stars and below (these numbers are estimates for the purpose of this point).
Since NFL teams need 1,500 or more players to fill the rosters of all of the teams, most of the players will be lower rated (thus the low NFL ave. rating).

Also the average is skewed because due to roster limits NFL teams have a higher % of players at positions that are almost never given 3 or more stars in the rankings (kickers, punters, snappers).
