I think he's ok with baseball. He sucks on both basketball and especially football.

His best sport is basketball. He needs to hang it up for baseball. He always tries to predict what happens, like "2 runs will score!" And then come back and tell us only 1 scored. Just let it play out. Or he'll say "that pitch is popped up......" Delay 5 seconds and then say "foul". Add to that the lack of knowledge of baseball. Hanny or wright should call baseball.

Anyone mention yet how this season Hawthorne calls goaltending committed by the defense "offensive goaltending"? wtf

I understand he has been the voice for LSU sports for years and years and years, and I am extremely used to hearing him on the radio my entire life. With that said, he really is terrible. He seems to be very negative with everything that goes on during the LSU game and just bitches and complains. It gets on my nerves.

It has always irked me over how excited he gets for opposing teams making 3 pointers.
"HE DRAINS A 3!!!!" and I'm thinking wait, opponent just had the ball? Did Spencer/Stringer/Hickey/Hornsby just steal it and lob a three from half court?

THIS. He was also wondering last night why we were shooting one and one after the 8th team foul and that the scoreboard must've been wrong cause we were in the double bonus. Ford had to correct him.
I've gotten use to his negativity they just need someone to teach him the game.
