19 month old ate some orange slices with dinner. He had them around his first birthday and had a bad case of heartburn afterwards. I hoped he would have outgrown it by now but we've been screaming snd arching our backs all night.

He used to take ranitidine but we've been out of it for a few months. Google isn't offering much help.

He won't take down any milk or yogurt for me. Could tums be an option?

First rule of parenting:

Do not ask schmucks on a message board for advice about your child's medical treatment

Damn, man. You should have asked this 7 months ago. Give the little guy some relief.

My mother gave them to me at 14 months. It was a rectal application...that was my earliest childhood memory.

whatever you do, keep giving him orange slices. The pain is worth it.

Give him some bread or something to absorb the acid

You may be a street pharmacist (in another life), but you are no doctor

There's tums for kids ages 2+. He's pretty close to 2. My pediatrician would approve, but ask yours.
