I would rather Pondexter in the closing 5 over Cunningham since he is a better shooter.

Then Pondexter will be moved back to the bench in the starting 5 after Holiday returns.

Cunningham and his "Hustle" needs to be on the floor as much as possible, he was all over the court last night and was a big part of us getting 2nd chances on offense.

If your closing 5 is Tyreke/EG/Cunningham/AD/Asik there are enough players that can hit an open 3, create their own offense, and score.

The only one of those you want looking for 3s is Gordon and his shot was off bad last night.

The two games I went to, Anderson lit it up. He seemed like the team's best player behind AD. However, shooters go cold. I can understand that it has to be recognized when he is cold and necessary to sit him at those times

I thought Anderson was fine on defense last night in the 4th. Nuggets shot 43% from the field and had 3 OREB. Only 2 FT. The Pels couldn't find a good shot, much less make one. That was the problem.

Would I have been upset if they had gone to Asik? No. I've said before Asik should see more time in the 4th and I still think that.

But Anderson didn't lose the game. The crusade here to torch him is out of control. There's no one reason why they lost. Several guys were poor and Davis was injured. The Nuggets hit shots at a rate they normally only dream about. All of those reasons are why they lost.

he's been cold more than half of the season.
45 games played, how many games has he shot at or above 40.0% from 3?

18 games, 40% of the games hes played.

He shot 30%, went 0/3 from 3, and grabbed 7 boards. He didn't help much at all.

EG was off last night, but lets just say in 25 games this year, EG has shot at or above 40% 13 times.

There was also at least one of Anderson's inexplicable non-rebounds where the ball basically drifted past him while he looks like he has no intention of possessing it.

ETA - This was in the last 3 or 4 minutes when the game was absolutely in the balance.

7 boards in 29 minutes isn't helping? That's an odd argument.

Gordon shot worse last night, yet it's okay because he's shot well since he came back from injury? That seems a little unfair.

You want to argue they need him to play better, no quarrel there. They need all their core guys to play well to win games.

On the whole, the team sucked last night. On the whole, the team loses when multiple core guys don't show up. Reducing it to a handful of plays or one player like Gordon, Anderson, Evans, Rivers, whomever is silly. This team is not one piece away from anything.

yep, not one persons fault last night. Some nights you just can't buy a shot and despite that, they still could have won the game.

The most frustrating part of the game last night to me is that in the final 3 or 4 minutes the offense goes completely stagnant. The ball sticks and we settle for 19 ft contested step back jumpers, contested fade away 3's and HEAVILY contested attempts at the rim.

Some are retard, however, I am glad finally people are realizing this dude is hurting us bad.

New Orleans fans tend to love players who do great 1 or 2 years and claim they are huge fans of nola. However, once they do bad we don't admit how bad they are because we feel bad. But this is a business not a slumber party.

AKA. Drew Brees IMO

I am glad they did not delete this post yet, I am sure the pelicans organization hates the fact we were hating on a guy who they consider a face of the organization

No, because Gordon doesn't have to shoot his way back to par to make up for being the worst defender in the league.
