I was wrong about Johnny Jones. He is a good coach.

I was underwhelmed when he was hired. I thought he was a black version of Smoke Laval. I thought we could do no better.
He can recruit. He can motivate. Not the best guy with X's and O's, but he's certainly better than his mentor Daddy Dale. His players respect him and listen to him, and never loses his cool like that a-hole Frank Martin. Always encouraging and never berating. He is steady.
I'm a fan.

my opinion of him has gone up since the aTm game. He still worries me at times though, but I guess with college age kids you are going to lay some eggs once and a while.

His players are getting more seasoned, but our half court offense still not great , and we need cleaner passing.

His lineup decisions at times are frustrating but he's done a great job considering he has NOBODY on the bench that can play SEC basketball outside of TQ and Patterson.
I love what JJ has done with the program. He's put the excitement back in and the recruiting hasn't been this good in the last 25 years at least.

Cool cool, the only reason he is looking good is because he can recruit. Give Frank his talent and we would be a top 3 seed..

When you watch other college teams, it seems like very few are good at this. I'm very pleased with what he has brought to the table.

No. Between ben simmons, antonio Blakeney, Craig Victor, and Jaquan Lyle, LSU will be a top 10 team in the nation next season. If we get martin and mickey back? Stahp.
Frank is not a good basketball coach because he can't recruit and that's 80% of the game in college basketball.

I agree Martin is a much better coach than JJ, but lsu's talent is much better than sc's.

What makes you think Frank Martin is a good coach? Johnny took a team with a former tuba player in the marching band starting at center to 9-9 in the SEC.
