i agree, i think this is the year he gets his shot. however, it is very important that
he gets in that play book and learns it inside and out. If I were Cameron both QB's
would have weekly test on the play book al year long. AJ is at his ceiling, he will never learn to look off safties and check down to 2nd and 3rd receivers. BH
has far more natural abilty but must spend time learning the play book, he is no where his ceiling. It's on BH to learn so CC can implement the intire play book.

Thats the problem though, most of our genius fans think they know more than the guys who get paid to do that. And its not just us, its all fans and I know this, but it continues to irritate me.

Do you ever make mistakes? Even on your job?

Sure you do, everyone does. D.J. Welter was the starting MLB for our team for 1.5 freaking seasons. If you don't get it yet, everyone makes mistakes.

I'm sorry, but if you think Brandon Harris' development this year was anything short of a disaster I don't know what to tell you.

His development?

Maybe you are misusing the term?

And in practice, when Jennings as we all know was getting the majority of the snaps with the 1's. This isn't a hard concept, we just completely wasted Harris the 2nd half of the season. It's like they wanted to keep him off the field at all costs until the very last second (see UK game). The UK game tells me all I need to know about how they "attempted" to develop Harris after the AU game. It was ALL about Jennings no matter what and they didn't care what happened.

Once again, UK game told me all I needed to know about how the coaches went forward with QB Development on and off the field for the 2nd half of the season.

Keep Harris off as long as possible, let Jennings get all the work, watch Harris try and go out and be a hero because he feels like he didn't have a legit shot.

That's why you wait to announce the starter at the end August, when it's too late for BH to transfer.

...and if it's Jennings, the chance of winning any titles is over before the season begins.

You're right, Harris played so much the 2nd half of the season, they clearly wanted to give him more work considering Jennings was playing so well week in and week out.

Seriously, snap out of your fantasy world and join reality.

He did. He played better than Harris in about 3 of the 5 games that they played together.

I guess Andy Dalton is better than Drew Brees. Brian Hoyer is better than Brees too. Dont forget about Kaepernick too, hes better too. They all played better in the games they played together, right?

I take away my LSU fandom and look at what Feaster said, I really don't see him being wrong.
I do, the only objection to the management of Harris should of been why he did not redshirt.

His HS coach is partially to blame, I don't know about him, but I don't imagine he is a coach that had a complex offense where his player came out prepared for the college game.

Problem is according to this board, every time we roll out a starting QB who doesnt throw 60 tds 10 ints and 5000yds everyone wants to see the backup.

You saw the QB position for 3.5 hours a week. I tend to side with the people who see the QB position every day for a few hours, not just 3.5 hours.

Those people are coaches.

Coaches, LSU coaches are never wrong.

It's utterly fascinating to me that the same idiots are in every thread defending miles to the death over the actual players. What has he done to earn your undying loyalty?

Miles only started Harris because he literally had to, and the half of football he got on the road against a top 5 team was not a fair shake, then LIED the rest of the year about the playing time Harris was supposed to get.

This is the same coach that was responsible for Harris being extremely unprepared heading into college?

Yeah that making it all the way to the state championship game showed real poor coaching.

ok.

It tells me that they accepted the fact that, despite his arm talent, he needed to learn the basic fundamentals of playing QB. To me, that's the definition of development.

I'm 100% confident they knew they what they had (and didn't have) in Jennings. But, they knew that he would give LSU the best chance of winning in the SEC.

Now, if you say they should have focused on 2015 vs 2014 after the Bama game and should have taken some lumps with Harris to assist in his development, I would agree.

But, you seem to be making a much larger point that is based 99% on speculation you've generated in your head. To be honest, it's idiotic.

I'm coming around to this more and more. Apparently his HS coach isn't helping his motivation either.
No the coach is not helping any...and learning a pro-style offense is a lot different than that spread, passing attack that Parkview deploys. Taking up for your old player is one thing, but maybe you give tough love and tell the player to prepare harder.
