How old do you have to be to not have twitter? It's one of the most useful apps on the internet.

correct it doesnt prevent you from breathing. facebook is useless. not having twitter allows you to still get by "just fine" but it's pretty stupid not too.

I have both but never considered either as more than base entertainment.

I use twitter but I know lots of younger people who have either had twitter and have given it up or don't use it at all. Technology does not always equal progress and using technology doesn't always equal youth. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should or have to, young or old.

FWIW, I agree with you 100%. Its easily the greatest form of social media invented. I can be used in so many ways, its funny to me that people dismiss it so quickly as just a form of communication for teenagers.

Man, I get so much news from Twitter, I find a lot of cool shite to do that I otherwise wouldn't know about, and it entertains me. I think you are right, the people that scoff at it just haven't figured out how to use it effectively for them. And I'm claiming to know a whole lot about how to use it, just that the way I have used it has been very beneficial to me.

I don't do much social media outside of facebook and here, but denying Twitter was/is world changing is dumb. It gives famous people an unadulterated mouthpiece for their thoughts and an easy way to connect with fans. It's not always a good thing, but its revolutionary
