Foster ended the 4th with a shot to the right center field gap but was thrown out at 3rd on a good throw from Laird and relay by Robertson.

Deichman was run for again today. Is there any info on a possible problem with his wheels?

Our defense is so good.

I haven't gotten any word on a possible Deichmann injury.

Great stuff as always, Scuba. Norman looked really good today. Interesting to hear about Deichmann, not sure what's going on there.

Great work as always Scuba! I had Norman at 89mph on two pitches.

Thanks Scuba. I was planning on making it out there, but I could not get away from the office early enough.

A lot of 0fers in those two lineups. I really hope that means our pitching is great, but we shall see.

Reading what King posted in the mega-thread, I remember quite a few guys got out, but were good at working the count. I like that a lot better than swinging at every first pitch.

0.210 average. Meh. Pitching always starts out ahead of hitting... and you have to realize how many hits our defense takes away.

Excuse the typo on Norman's pitch speed; I corrected the OP.

You are right about our outfielders. I was thinking about that as I watched BP today.

How many times have we had a player with a multi hit game this spring?

Twice so far. Laird went 2-3 in the first scrimmage, and Robertson went 2-3 in the second one. Of course, these are only 5-6 innings.

Poche norman stallings all looked very good so far. Latz is a candidate for sure. I'm leaving some out I know. But those are my 4 guys I would go with based on the scrimmages I've seen and ones I've heard about.

Guys are lucky to get 3 ABs. Multi-hit games is a useless stat for the spring.
