What is so great about Phish and The Grateful Dead

Name same bands that you consider quality music.
^ in response to the thread about favorite songs. I don't think Adventure Club is quality music. Grateful Dead and Phish are musicians. Adventure Club can press play on a lap top.

I got turned on to the GD back in the early 80's when I was 14-15 yrs old
went camping with some friends who had dozens of bootleg tapes/shows from the Greek Theatre, Golden Gate Park, Fillmore , etc... Maxell UD XL II C90's playing through Alpine car stereos were the shizzle
lots of mushrooms and kind bud were involved that night listening to the following songs in front of a raging camp fire ..... Scarlet > Fire > Estimated > Eyes > Morning Dew > Bird Song > Drums > Space > Women Smarter > US Blues > China Doll > Werewolves ....
I was immediately hooked and quite certain the psilocybin had a lot to do with it . Been a fan ever since as there is lots of diversity in the 30 years of GD music . Live concerts were an indescribable experience ... you had to be there
