Bigger, faster, more explosive players are playing a game that is gradually moving away from the middle of the field and more into the open. There could very well be more knee and lower extremity injuries as bigger guys are running, cutting, and contacting one another in space more.

So he knows little about everything else except for medicine?
Again, you don't know the meaning of the term you're using.

It also could be tied to the restrictions of contact up high. I'm sure there will be studies done on that factor.

I feel like this is the obvious reason for more lower body injuries.

To an extent I think so. I think the shoddy tackling in general has a lot to do with it as well. Guys tend to just dive or shove a lot more now which leads to a lot of awkward landings, cutting and missteps. Given that these guys now have probably 20-30 more lbs of muscle pulling on their connective tissue out in the open field with more momentum and it's pretty evident why there are more injuries. Many of which include little to no actual contact.

This wouldn't really explain a spike in two years in a 10 year window which is what the guy was trying to point out. He was saying it was an anomaly.
There are other factors at play obviously, but I don't think it's because players are 20-30 pounds more muscular than they were 10 years ago.

I have no idea, but something to do with idiot savants diagnosing the root cause of knee injuries and this UGA student called them out. For what, I have no idea.
