Take the Regions internship. Their corporate building downtown is badass.

Nothing employers want less than a career student. Get your degree and get a job in your field - any job. Get real experience. Work your way up and if you need it later in your career go get your MBA or whatever other degree you may need to further advance.

Worked/Moved to places no one else would.

If you're willing to be mobile, there are jobs out there. You may have to work in BFE to gain some valuable experience.

you need to "get your foot in the door" long before graduation time by doing internships and pertinent summer jobs...

the jobs don't have to necessarily be doing exactly what you will do after graduation, but you do need to be able to show how it taught you skills that would be helpful in your "real" job...for instance, if you are going to be a petroleum engineer, you might take a summer job working in the oilfield to get that side of the business...or if you are going to be a dietician, why not go to work on a farm for the summer to see how things are grown?...

I do a lot of interviewing and hiring for my company and I can tell you that even a little experience helps out a ton when you are interviewing...

Go to old money professional school/program, wife old money undergrad.

If you get the opportunity to pick one up, I highly recommend it. It is so choice.

My first "real" job did not pay particularly well and I got it through a friend of a friend. But it was resume material and got things going enough so I could build a wider set of professional contacts that led to better opportunities.

It doesn't even have to be related to your degree, you'll quickly find that your degree may have made you marketable (maybe), mostly by showing you can learn more advanced skills that school did not teach you.

I had a few internships built into my undergrad program. My first job was due to one of them, I then used a connection from my other internship to land my second job. My current career path (third job) was due to numerous factors including a solid reference from my first two employers, grad school experience, a credential that I picked up, and obviously the experience I gained from my first two positions.
