I would prefer it, personally, but it has been Sunday for so long that it will never be changed barring unforeseen circumstances (like last year).

Or, even better, Monday should be a national holiday

Super Bowl XLV last year ended at approximately 10:23 p.m., while Super Bowl XLIV ended at approximately 10:12 p.m.

The college games are far worse, but I agree, why not Saturday.

Yes. I can't stand the TV line up in general with the NFL.

Or move it earlier in the day.

I'm sure there's been a ton of market research to say that "Super Bowl Sunday" maximizes dollars for the NFL... that said, I'd be cool with Super Bowl Saturday.

Bill Simmons said something funny/interesting on his podcast a few years ago about how a politician needs to come out with a bill making the Monday after SB Sunday a national holiday and giving people the day off, like the winter version of Labor Day. His point was that a) it's pretty much a lost day anyway and b) that politician would be an instant hero.

Of course, in reality something like that would never pass, but it's a fun hypothetical.

I have a dream,

Make the super bowl the first Sunday of February every year

Make MLK day the monday following the first sunday of February, which would make sense because the blacks month is February anyway.

Everyone can booze on super sunday and lay around and be lazy on MLK day and profit.

If you say so, regardless, it is an idea everyone would be for

Indifferent.. But the merits are well documented and I would certainly not have an issue

It really is a huge wet blanket on SBS. They'll never make Monday a national holiday. But the game should be moved to Saturday.
