No my response was people are too stupid to just plug into iTunes and do the download that way, so Apple has to cater to the lowest common denominator.
Are you seriously trying to say no one has a PC anymore & iPhone users can't take out 15 minutes to plug into iTunes?
ETA: actually from what I remember most about the issue, it wasn't even that they didn't know it could be done, once they were told it was too much a bother to plug into iTunes.

You are talking about copying and pasting in Safari, right? Because ever since iOS 8, copy and paste hasn't been working at all for me. Most times the paste button disappears too fast when I am pasting text. Also when I long press on an image it no longer copes the URL of the picture. It is annoying.

I go back to iOS 3 and I can say without any doubt that copying and pasting in Safari on iOS 8 is the most annoying bug I've ever had to deal with. The fact that it's not fixed almost 6 months in is unbelievable.
