Crawfish prices will be high during Lent and then drop after. It's supply and demand. If people are willing to pay $5per pound a farm damn sure is willing to sell them at that price.

And cheap fuel prices.

Farmers and airlines are finally able to get back to an even playing field with the low gas prices.

Anybody been to that joint? All you can eat crawfish for the super bowl might be legit, if they do it right.

I saw a lot of wet dust on the outside of the shells.

The secret is in the soak.

Chinese economy has slowed, less supply, we're picking up their slack but it's causing higher prices.

You're welcome

Besides, shrimper whining > crawfish farmer whining.

Name of the place is Ragin Cajun's, and he had a USL hat on. It was to be expected

This is just like every hurricane season is expected to be the worst we've seen in years

Ends up being much the same

They'll make more money this year than ever

And I'm ok with that, I just hate the excuses every season. Just say "the price is the price"

Why do they even make up excuses?

They can sell for whatever they want and us connasses will still give them our money, we love crawfish.

Not to mention the people who pay with LA purchase cards, they obviously dont care about the price.

But there's an explanation for high prices out there.

Crawfish farmers best customers are the ones that pay the highest prices...those are the ones that live out of state.

Ask Fin where he ships the majority of his crawfish and where he makes the most money

Until the Spillway starts producing, the farm raised/pond crawfish prices are going to stay high..
