This trailer was just an absolute rip from Interstellar and whoever made it should be fired on the spot.

Seriously. That trailer and movie at least had a coherent point, in saying we've ignored the space program, but we can still get it back on track. Nolan's main goal with the film was to get the general public excited about space again.

This was just a rip off and complete gibberish. You're making a movie about the Fantastic 4, not the works of Nicolae Telsa.

So much crying over a movie that's not even released yet.

while this movie will probably be a giant piece of shite, the trailer wasnt "God awful" as most are saying. i have condemned this movie and even dropped that they are still filming the third act before TD became an official news source.

but to rip apart a teaser is just mindless bashing at this point. i thought the actual look of the movie looked cool. i couldve very well done without the voiceover as I will agree with OML that it was kind of mindless.

there were some cool shots in it for a teaser. but this doesnt change all the other garbage piling on top this movie. best of luck, fox.

The Thing looks great.

He's really the only FF character I like.

First thing I noticed was that homeboy had never held a baseball bat in his entire life.

To be fair, it was the first trailer and was only a teaser. Can't put too much stock into it.

i was a little shocked by how good the cinematography looks but im sure the director will ruin all that.

Watching Johnny Storm fix a car for 30 mins, then go into some physics trap, then sit in a hospital, then start to maybe understand that he can light on fire, then finally figure it out for 5 mins and the credits role sounds God awful.

Im not going to bitch about that race thing from the "but hes white in the comics!!!" perspective. Thats been done enough. But from a story telling point, i expect no less than 15 mins to be dedicated to setting up how we have a brother and sister of different races. We will here about adoption. How they grew up. Some existential adopted teenager self pitying.

They will have to go out of their way to make it accepted. It wont just be a who cares if he's black thing. Honestly, why wouldnt they make Mr. Fantastic black? That would have been sooooo much easier.

Or the Thing. I mean he turns into a yellowish-brown rock at the beginning of the movie. The issue pretty much resolves itself.

The trailer could literlly be the first 15 minutes of the movie. There is no way to tell how long they will set up the story and how long it takes for them to get their powers. My only point was that it had the same feel as the Interstellar teaser. Quick shots, dirt roads next to crop-fields, wide-eyed actors looking amazed in astronaut suits, people crying. Hell they even had a baseball field on the Interstellar trailer. Pre-rock Thing couldn't have looked mean and tough as nails on on the wrestling team or something?

Basically Johnny Storm is now Victor Stone/Cyborg, except he turns himself on fire.

What is so hard about making Dr. Doom the king of his own country? Do they think people wouldn't accept him as believable?

dumpster fire.

The storms are siblings.

Either make them both black or both white.

Will not pay to see this trash.

I really dont like the casting for this movie.

The main guys are used to playing in young teen\college kid movies.

Seems stupid to have "genius" 20 year olds being the people sent into whatever mission they are going on.

The trailer doesn't look that bad. The few special effects looked clean. The little glimpse of the thing looked better than the other movies.
I read portions of a leaked script and it reads differently from what the trailer portrays. Maybe there is just a ton of secrecy and disinformation on purpose.
I'm a comic fan but I'm indifferent to the actual castings issues.

Cast is mostly awful. Outside of Kate Mara and Freddy from HoC, I recognize none of them. Kate is cool, but I don't understand doing a "reboot" less than 15 years after the previous attempt. Just like The Amazing Spider-Man, these early reboots should all flop

Because there are a whole bunch of teenagers (who buy tickets) that don't read comics (but buy tickets) that don't know the origin.
