Hey glass. Have you tried Marcello's yet? 2 doors down from Herbsaint. They are doing very well.

I'll take my pick. August is on the wrong side of Poydras.

For some reason I thought it was you who didn't like Johnny Sanchez when you went there with O-Brah. Didn't realize you went back ??

I thought it was just ok that trip granted it was a soft opening. I typically prefer the dirty taquerias when it comes to Mexican food. Add that with some poster dislike of JS and I just haven't made it back til now. Was an unplanned trip that was much better than my last. The pork belly was nice and crispy ( I usually avoid pork belly dishes) and the shrimp had the briny taste of the ocean. The batter didnt over power the flavor of the shrimp. My expectations were lower this time but they were far exceeded.

Best in the CBD? Wouldn't that be August?

Yep. That's probably my favorite downtown restaurant. Although, I really like Domenica and Marcello's.

Anyway, I agree with Wise. Johnny Sanchez was pretty damned good last night for what it's intended to be. Plus we could watch the end of the massacre of the Sixers.

I still haven't been to Marcellos yet but I'm intrigued by their wine selection.
