Guy that went to my high school found out he had it and died 3 weeks later. Get it checked guys. It takes 1 min to feel the balls and who knows you may get a woody out of it and get to release the poison.

As was my post. Cancer just sucks no matter who and what part of the body it hits. Obviously some are harder to treat than others. But hearing those words "you have cancer" has to be one of the most frightening things to hear...no matter what kind you have.

My baw had it.
Got it removed and came back cancer free.
Do you feel a painful lump?

Like I said I was only 16 and the thought of death never entered my thoughts. I am sure it was a different story with my parents.

My dad was diagnosed with seminoma, a form of testicular cancer. This was after a month in the hospital dealing with pulmonary anurism and a host of other issues dealing with clotting. His case was very advanced as he had a secondary tumor pressing against his vena cava causing the issues. When the testicular cancer was finally diagnosed it was a bit of a relief because they had misdiagnosed him with lymphoma and a type of sarcoma previously both much worse prognosis wise. A couple surgeries and months of chemo later he kicked the cancers arse. The chemo was absolutely horrible, aged him a good bit.

Thanks!
I laughed at the ultra sound post since my dad said that part was far worse than the removal. But maybe that is just because of all the delauded they had him on.

Ask him if he got the Barium enema. That part really blew. Pun intended.

Have your questions been answered? I was diagnosed at the age of 44 which was on the backside of the bell curve. Early detection and treatment is key as with any cancer. If you have other questions or concerns I will be glad to address them. It is much more common than people realize. It's not a comfortable subject especially for the younger men.

I know of 3 guys who have had it and had at least testicle removed.

Breast cancer kills more than testicular cancer.
Great marketing by the breast cancer charities.
A woman with only one boob is much more noticeable than a man with one testicle.
Plus breast cancer can strike men. Testicular cancer can't strike women.

Buddy of mine had it - he was 40 when diagnosed. He has been cancer free for 10 years.

Friend of mine is taking treatment for his second battle with it right now- after chemo/radiation, he faces testosterone therapy for the rest of his life, which comes with it's own set of side effects, etc. It's very curable, but if you have to have both testes removed, it gets a little more complicated.

That has to be very rare. My doctors indicated that there was a higher possibility of cancer spreading to my lymph nodes that to the other testicle. Best of luck to your friend.
