At this point you either do it or you don't. I finished the game after getting through it and then immediately started a 2nd play through.

I got really frustrated when I couldn't fire the ballista in the opening segment.

Took me no less than 2 hours and several reloads to realize I needed to mash the button fast.

Witcher is more of an action adventure game. You seem to actually need some button mashing skill which I have none.

I watched some coverage of this last night and they said the Witcher 3 is easier to jump into than 2 was without playing the others

It certainly puts the earlier leaks of the world map into perspective, and it does indeed appear to have a larger open-world than Skyrim, as the developers claim.

It was announced over the weekend that the game would contain islands which could be sailed to or swam to, and you can see those in the map above – and completionists could spend around 200 hours in the game.

When I see 200+ it actually has me thinking I may put them game off. I would have to block off a lot of time for that.

this sentence hurt my brain.

How many hours is Witcher 2 gameplay? I'm 4 hours in and completely hooked.

I think I got ~25-30 hours per play, it's been a while though.

Another Trailer
This game looks awesome. It kind of looks like what I want Dragon Age to be in some ways. It also releases on my anniversary, I wonder how my wife feels about that...

They'll delay it four more times before it releases. She won't have anything to worry about.

I am trying to figure out when I'm going to play it and I don't think I will at release. I want this game in a wide open period with nothing to distract me. I learned the hard way with Dragon Age not to try and squeeze it in

Pretty sure there is a solid "that's what she said" opportunity here.

That's not as bad now. I just need this to come out when nothing else is coming out soon after that.

And the in-laws aren't visiting! This and Sword Coast are the only games I have on my radar right now so that means I will buy 20 games between now and the end of the year.

In laws are always coming and going but that doesn't effect me as much anymore. I can't get to my PC when they are here but I moved my PS4 to the living room so I can stay up and play after they go to sleep.

that trailer...this game may be the GOAT. This and Bloodborne will run away with the awards this year

all the dragon age lovers better start getting lube ready. imagine dragon age with a 1000x better combat system, actual depth when it comes to quests, and an amazing world. no lie, this may be the best rpg ever. ill have to spend about a month preparing my body
