It'll be a lot closer this season. Kyle Field is dropping capacity to just over 102K in 2015.

We were first last year.

I've posted this several times to the fire Les crowd.

It ain't happening with our ticket sales.

I really dont see how that is remotely possible gauging off the SHS, UL-M, and NMS games
I'm sure its "paid" not actual.

NCAA needs to make a separate championship for non power 5 schools so schools like UAB have something to play for. Raw deal really.

Everyone uses paid. Premium seats are paid for prior to the season.

and there were about 15,000+ empty seats in Kyle Field when we played there this past season too, but they announced that the attendance was over 105,000.

Our baseball team box scores show paid and actual attendance and the women's basketball started the season with both numbers on the box scores this year too.

I'd bet large that LSU football will never adopt this practice, I don't think any other SEC school would do so either.

They'd just be opening themselves up to criticism they don't want or need.

Five out of 10 in the SEC is not bad.

I agree with your statement too...always wondered why we do that in baseball.

This is why. It would be embarrassing for LSU and other SEC schools to put out 70,000 attendance numbers for some games. Before the 2014 expansion LSU didn't break 70,000 for some bad OOC games.

LSU provides paid and actual attendance for baseball games because the numbers are impressive and they're proud of it.

Overall, I'm very impressed with our baseball tickets sold -- I still remember going to games at the old Alex Box on a weeknight at game time and sitting behind home plate hoping not to have to birds roosting drop stuff on my head...lol

But here is when I'm not so impressed...
2/23/14 vs Texas Southern -- sold 10,108; actual 2825.
3/5/14 vs Sacred Heart -- 9874; 2321
3/12/14 vs Southern -- 10,111; 2730
4/29/14 vs Alcorn St -- 10,237; 2940

Those numbers are 25-30% of tickets sold and that equates to football having 25,000-35,000 show up for the OOC rent a wins. I know that in baseball, a lot of those tickets are season ticket holders who live out of town and can only come in for weekend series -- I understand that as I have softball season tickets and can only come for the weekend series.

I honestly we should just post the tickets sold and leave it at that.
