No truth to it. Just a wild rumor that gained legitimacy when it was reported by a few (I forget which) 'insiders' on pay sites.
IIRC, the rumor that Jerry Rice was hired or was in the running as LSU's WR coach spread soon after Joe McKnight picked USC back in '07. The rumor did much for changing the melty tone the rant descended into post-Joe McKnight announcement. But, ultimately, obviously, Jerry Rice did not end up coaching at LSU.
Now, whether or not Ray Lewis moonlights at a Tiger Stadium concession stand is still a question yet to be answered...
