I got a buddy who's a US Marshall. He's single without kids so its not so hard for him, but I can't imagine moving around as much as he does.

Try being usss assigned to a West coast field office getting picked up for your election cycle rotation and being on the road for a year and only getting back home for about 3 weeks.

Gotta be young, single, and without kids to truly enjoy that.

Not necessarily organized crime but my mom's stepmother is a very close relative of Clyde Barrow's and met him on several occasions when she was young. She had some really cool stories.

Yes, in multiple factions. You'd be surprised who you meet on the golf course

Google Telly Hankton

My friend and his mom had to be escorted when leaving court due to being followed crossing back across the lake.

I don't believe the old Hollywood style mafia with its hierarchy and ruling commission has existed for a very long time. That hasn't stopped virtually every Italian or Jewish guy I've knowm from dropping hints about their families New York "connections". I've always taken those hints as 95% bullshite but maybe some were real, I really don't know.

But I have crossed paths with plenty of Banditos and Horseman and assorted AB scumbags in the oilfield. The bikers don't bother me so long as they keep their extracurriculars extracurricular, but did I mention that I really can't stand prison gang trash? A double lightning bolt tattoo is grounds in itself to get run the frick off a job, IMO.
