Might watch this to have something even more depressing to think about than the Josh Gordon news

If this was 2004, I'd be really excited.

I think it was Dax Sheppard that made that movie more than cook.

Cook should never be the "like able protagonist"

His best movie role was Waiting because he was supposed to suck as a person like in real life

Rough Around the Edges and Hazardous If Swallowed were good but his last one was pretty bad. Hope he can rebound after his big hiatus

Because he is not funny. He just tells long drawn out stories with too much detail, so much so that he goes back and repeats half of what he says. It is like he is trying to fill time.

I saw one of his specials once - I thought it was a joke. I don't mean awful, I seriously wondered if it was a joke special about a guy who is supposed to be unfunny.

How was he ever popular? He is just plain horrible and not funny in the slightest. Does he have rich relatives that helped him or did he buy/sleep his way up the ladder or what?

He stole other people's routines and cleaned them up. There's a big market for shitty, non-offensive humor. See every CBS sitcom ever made...

I know he has been accused of stealing routines, but I don't see it. Unless by cleaning them up, you mean removing punchlines and just rambling.

When I was in middle school, Dane cook was the biggest thing ever. As far as phenomenons go, that period of Dane cook (10-12 years ago) is probably #1 in my lifetime. Chappelle a few years before that and tosh a few years after are right up there.
