I have a couple different shades of blue that look good with mine. The white looks ok but the tie makes the difference.

Take a coat with you or try on a bigger white shirt on top of the shirt you are looking at to see the contrast.

Not only that... unless you are doing something formal, like a presentation or medical function, wearing a shirt and tie with a white coat = newbie doc. or doc want to be...
