Helped a friend deliver a car last night and we stopped at R&O's for a quick bite before heading home. Cup of gumbo was solid. First off, the cup is bigger than what I see at most places. Lots of big shrimp, vegetables, and had an oyster in mine. Flavor was outstanding. We split the tossed shrimp salad and a ham and roast beef poboy. The salad was tossed with some sort of mayo and vinegar dressing and the salad was ice cold. Shrimp were seasoned very well. The sandwich was also very good. The roast and gravy was tender and flavorful. Place was almost full and the service for what it is, was very fast. Would go again. My friend wanted a dozen tamales to go and the waitress said they didn't do them to go but would box them table side for us. Now how easy was that!

I have always enjoyed the hell out of the food there. Love the RB po-boy, gumbo, and even the pizza especially.

I had to boycott the place for a while when they appeared on the stupid arse reality tv show.
Around that same time that show was airing I noticed that the place really is in need of a good clean up and a few of the waitresses seemed like they could use a swift kick in the arse.

I love the place, too. I was so disappointed when they were on that dumb show with the actress playing like she was a family member and a waitress. I've always wanted to ask them why they did that show. I'm sure the answer is $$$$$.

The muffalattas there are my favorite.

TD doesn't disappoint-R&O Special made for a great lunch, and service couldn't have been any better.

This the place close to Deanie's? I've read that the roast beef there is the best in New Orleans.

R&O's offers what they call an Italian RB which has both brown and red gravy, so you could still get your hookup on the red.

Yeezy, it was lunchtime-figured you were busy shaping tomorrow's leaders and didn't want to be disturbed
