San Francisco.

You must be kidding. Walking trails in the Presidio, City Lights bookstore, Golden Gate Park, China Beach, Ocean Beach, Baker Beach, Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Bridge, neighborhood bars in Sunset and Richmond, Ft. Point, walks along Marine Drive, Giants baseball, otter and sea lion watching in the harbor, Alioto's, walking through Sutro Heights, The Cliff House, Palace of Fine Arts, Sausalito, Mt. Tam, etc., etc., etc.

Are you sure you visited San Francisco? The one in California?

I actually live in SF so I have a pretty good idea what I'm talking about. But I'm sure the city's tourism board will be happy to know that you enjoyed your cable-car ride and time at Fisherman's Wharf, since that's what the city's all about.

Orlando. Simply saying Orlando is "okay" is an ignorant exaggeration.

Orlando is probably the second best answer in this thread.

I can't think of any reason whatsoever to ever go back to that pile of shite. OBT has got to be the trashiest stretch of pavement in the country.

Yeah it is, that's the only reason people move there and visit there

I bet my weekends and time off are a hell of a lot more exciting than yours. People that live in Houston leave on weekends and holidays for fun and entertainment.

"I actually live in SF ..."

I lived there in the 80's and visit the town from time to time. Will be there for a week in March. I'm not ignorant of the city's attractions--and warts. I'd absolutely recommend cable cars, the Wharf and the Cliff House to a tourist, but you ignored all the other places I mentioned in my previous post. Beaches, city walking, the beauty and attractions at GGP, AT&T park and on and on—in my experience, these are enjoyed by residents and tourists alike.

Well, to each his own. Sorry you hate the place, but I know what that's like, living in Orlando. Hey—want to swap cities? Cable cars for Mickey Mouse?

08 you sound angry in this thread. I agree Orlando is overated. Traffic is horrible, tourists everywhere, and other than malls and theme parks thats about it. The outer suberbs are really nice though. I love the Tampa/st.Pete area so much more.
