Those 4 five star kids is the only reason our class isn't in the 20-30's

Also...by the same logic..Florida state should've beat the crap out of Oregon since Florida state has had top 3 recruiting classes since jimbo has been there.

By the same logic...will muschamp would've never been fired.

It is always great to see people use exceptions as proof. And use the word logic while stating a completely illogical position.

Don't give me this coulda woulda shoulda bullshite.

Also, what logic are you talking about? I've said they can win conference titles, but when is the last time a team loaded with 2 and 3 star recruits, won a national title?

What you are saying doesn't answer my question. I will ask you some additional ones however.

What does Muschamp failing have to do with anything? What does FSU failing have to do with what I am talking about? To make it to a national championship, and win it you have to be loaded talent wise on your two deep and have good coaching.

People always use the crap well there are 1000s of 2 and 3 stars and only 40 5 stars. Well no shyt obviously Florida Atlantic and Akron aren't getting good players. I want to know the ratio of draft picks 5 stars vs 3 and 2 stars but only at 25 programs.

No. I know we should go after really good players. My point is, that more often than not, a 2 or 3 star who works his arse off turns out to be better than a 5 star who has always relied on God given talent and never had to work hard.

Jesus, what a load of crap... "More often than not a 2 or 3 star player is better than a 5 star".

That's nearly a top 20 class every year. Not great but not terrible.

Also, they play in a league that hasn't been very consistently good lately.

Finally, they get smoked by good teams. Maybe if they had more depth they'd win against LSU, auburn and Obie state instead of get manhandled. This level isn't about who has the best starting lineup. It's about who has the best 2 deep.

Not one starter on either the Patriots or Seahawks was a 5 star and the majority were 2 or 3's. All that matters is can they play. LINK

Now tell us how many were 1st round draft picks

Stars are based on hype nothing else.

then why do teams that recruit the highest-rated kids end up doing the best? when was the last time a team won a title without great talent?

is winning based on the hype of recruits these days?

I forgot that the recruiting services rank these 17 year olds according to how good of a pro they'll be not how much of a college star they'll be
