Pels are 16-11 against the west....Have played the fewest home games in the NBA (and hold home court pretty well)...and have broken the PTAO.

They will get the 7 seed

So you have them leapfrogging San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Phoenix?

I really like TRob obviously and he is capable of putting up some good games, but he can't fill in for fricking Lamarcus Aldridge. I agree he will play well and all, but there will be a drop off.

If Atlanta, Cleveland, and Washington end up in the 1,4,5 seed configuration, none of them are making the NBA Finals.

Portland can't fall past the 4th seed if they win their division

I'm loving this season.. lots of parity in the field from teams that have long suffered. No Lakers or Knicks. No Big Three.

I knew this rule, but I completely forgot about it. This pretty much locks Portland at 4. Ugh. OKC sucking arse isn't as perfect as it should be.

frick being in the Southwest. We're trying to finish Top 4 in our own division while Portland is coasting in the Northwest.

East
1. Atlanta
2. Chicago
3. Washington
4. Cleveland
5. Toronto
6. Detroit
7. Miami
8. Bucks / Hornets

West
1. Golden St
2. Dallas
3. Memphis
4. Spurs
5. LAC
6. Portland
7. Houston
8. OKC

Neither one of those are possible. In the East you have teams from only 2 divisions in the top 4.

In the West you have 3 teams from the same division in the top 4.

The way the seeding works is that the 3 division winners are automatically in the top 4, and the team with the best record who did not win their division are also in the top 4.

West:

1. Golden State
2. Southwest Division Winner
3. Southwest Division Runner-Up
4. Portland
5. Los Angeles Clippers
6. Southwwest Division 3rd Place
7. Southwest Division 4th Place
8. Oklahoma City

Imagine if it was:

1. Golden State
2. Memphis
3. Dallas
4. Portland
5. L.A. Clippers
6. Houston
7. San Antonio
8. OKC

First round would be:

Golden State vs. OKC
Memphis vs. San Antonio
Dallas vs. Houston
Portland vs. Clippers

This is pretty much exactly what I'm rooting for. Except I wouldn't mind switching San Antonio and LAC. The Rockets are pros at losing with home court advantage, and we have been nothing special at home, so I wouldn't mind not having hone court.

Either way, I want to see them play Dallas in the playoffs.

It's fun to watch the Grizzlies punk the Clippers. And Portland-Spurs sounds awesome. And Rockets Mavs are like tied against each other since 1985 or some shite.

As much as I want to see the Grizzlies play someone other than the Spurs, Clippers, or OKC in the playoffs, I'd be completely fine with them playing the Clippers because I think it would be a relatively easy series for us.

I saw the future and saw what is going to happen.

1. GSW
2. DAL
3. POR
4. MEM
5. LAC
6. SAS
7. HOU
8. OKC

First round:

1 GSW vs. 8 OKC
2 DAL vs. 7 HOU
3 POR vs. 6 SAS
4 MEM vs. 5 LAC

Houston beats Dallas in the first round.

Second round:

8 OKC vs. 4 MEM
3 POR vs. 7 HOU

Houston gets revenge and beats Portland in the second round.

Third round:

8. OKC vs. 7. HOU

Houston gets revenge from 2 playoffs ago and wins the WCF.

I don't get it. No one will tell me why they think Dallas will finish so high. They haven't really done anything to prove it yet.

I don't think they will. That was just my dream scenario. I had to put them second so that Houston plays them in the first round and could match up with Portland and OKC in the next two rounds, because those are the 3 teams I want to see Houston play.
