Asking advice from women: what kind or razor/lotion should I shave my legs with?

Soooo I went shopping and I decided to purchase a pair of the unisex lululemon pants/tights (whatever you want to call them) for working out. Not knowing how they would feel, I tried them out and, to my surprise, I love them (great for jogging around my neighborhood of Fondren). Anyway, it's been rubbing my leg hairs so I've decided to go ahead and try the shaving the legs thing.
haha laugh away but serious question: what do you suggest? We shaved my buddies and he ended up with a bunch of cuts/in grown hairs.

Find a area of your body to test it on, like you cod sack. Some people break out using it cause it burns the skin.
