Going to see ons tomorrow, which should I see and why?

Sniper because it's a real good movie. Don't know what the other one is about.

Imitation game because it was a better movie. Superior acting although American sniper was more exciting

Sniper for entertainment, Game for acting
The Theory of Everything is better than both, in entertainment and acting if you havent seen that

I mean acting is great and all, but what I want is a really good story. Doesn't necessarily need to be action packed just a great story

The Imitation Game. Far more interesting true story imo.
AS isn't in the same ballpark as TIG.

American Sniper. That movie got to me a little bit especially at the end. Not many movies do that.

Saw both last week
Sniper was a really really good movie
Immigration Game was OK. Kind of disappointing considering the subject matter. Lots of cliches. Wish they would have gotten more detailed about the enigma machine and Turings machine used to solve it. Again it was ok but should have been much better.
If you are only seeing one see Sniper

Saw them both last week back-to-back. thought both were great.
I do agree, as good as TIG was, it had plenty of room to be an even better film, yet imho still a slightly better film than AS. Where as AS pretty much hit most of the marks that it could. AS is a movie that once on tv, I could rewtach more so than TIG though..more exciting scenes and action.
Cumberbatch and Cooper both nailed their roles.

Just saw Imitation Game.
Going to go do some more research into Allen Turing. If he really did make as much of an impact on the war/the world as they're claiming in that movie I can't believe I've never heard that story before now.
ETA: the movie was awesome

He didn't invent the computer like the movie insinuates., but he did make the Turing machine which could decode Enigma messages along with a few colleagues.

The movie indicated that this development of the Turning machine was apart of the early stages towards the modern computer. Nevertheless, his decoding methods of Enigma were groundbreaking. I
t's kind of sad that a number of people still don't know about this. It's a fascinating true story. NOVA has a pretty good documentary on the efforts to decode the Nazi's during WW2.

Saw AS last week, just saw IG. I would go with AS.

Just got back from watching AS, good movie. I have one question though, when he got back from the 1st tour he was wearing E-5 chevrons and when he left for the 2nd tour he was an E-7, based on what I know from my time in the navy that it's 36 months minimum from E-6 to E-7.
