Could we sell Jamal Peters on playing OLB for us?

Already 6'3 200lbs and I don't see us getting any OLBs in this class.

Is it confirmed that he's still on for his OV?

Id say stay at safety, we'll lose a couple next draft.

LINK

247 still has him coming on the 30th, and they stay on top of it.

Well we are like in the top lists for two of the top safties next year plus with all the corners we have, looks like both Lewis and Paris could make that switch to safety as well.

The only OLBs so far next year is the beast Joyner and Divinity (who sounds like he wants to get out of Louisiana). Yes I know others will pop up, but after next year our only OLBs will be Donnie Alexander and Duke Riley.

I am sure Coach Miles and staff are aware of the need. I think you convince the kid to come as a safety as the priority, and if you snag him, then you can lead him toward the linebacker route during freshman year.

He's played down on the line of scrimmage for run support and rushing the passer most of his career. This year was his first year he spent significant time in the secondary. He struggled a good bit in man-to-man coverage this year. I think that will be something he will need coaching help with on the next level. Great build and great athleticism but his coverage is still a little raw. I think he wants early playing time plus I don't see him leaving the state of MS. His state title game this year was at Davis Wade and he got a taste of playing in that stadium. Think it will be hard for him to play a lot next year if he came to LSU. State he has a better shot.
