Ichiro still can't speak english

This is mind boggling to me. Aren't the Japs supposed to be the smartest people in the world. Dude has been here for 15 years and still needs a translator.

Yu Darvish still uses a translator even though by all accounts I've heard from Dallas media he can speak English well enough.
