I use a case like this one. I've been thinking of getting something a little bigger though.

You can get a good kershaw for 40-50

People that carry pocket knives: what do you use it for and how often do you use it?

I've never carried one and never came across an occasion where I needed one.

Case knives are greAt been carrying one for about 5 years now.. Bought a few more for when this one wears out but it won't die...

Opening boxes or packages.

A makeshift screw drvier in a pinch.

Protection.

Just something that's good to carry.

Not sure why I stopped, but purchasing one soon.

I've carried the same Kershaw knife now for 13 years. 2 1/2 inch blade, light as a feather and holds a good edge.

I use it at least once a day it feels like. Opening boxes, cutting cord, random odds and ends. It's been on ever camping trip in that time span, useful as all get out.

Are you serious?
Even my 12 year girl needs one, and I point it out almost daily. I tell her see if you had a pocket knife....
