Let me pose this question because I am very interested to hear what the rules are. For kids of college coaches, do the rules just not apply? Can dad (Les) have an influence on him even if he was a 5 star stud? What if Manny rolled up to U high (which I’m sure he already has) in a brand new escalade from his dad who is being paid by an institution that is trying to recruit him against other big time schools with les of an advantage? Just curious if there are any rules against this. Anyone know?

Might want to change your thread title to pose it as a question. Sounds like infractions actually occurred.

You can do whatever you want with your kid if you're lucky enough to have a five star. Unless the school publicly stated that they were giving money to Dad to give to kid, the NCAA is staying away from that one.

This is a terrible thread title, and no, rich parents can buy whatever they want for their kids.

I'm more intrigued with the fact that Les Miles has a son that is a QUARTERBACK!

How in the world does this happen?

Manny drives a Prius. Les is bringing him up right.

One has nothing to do with the other. Priuses are not as environmentally friendly as their drivers assume.

Not exactly bulletin board material for opposing defenses but hey to each his own.

I've been told told that miles must have limited contact with his son during his senior year as a result of recruiting rules. He can only visit him in home once and thus must live in a hotel until his son signs with the school of his choice. It's tough but rules are rules, family be dammed.

NCAA can't do shite in this situation. They aren't the all seeing eye or some all knowing being.
