I live in South Baton Rouge, and we are looking for a good daycare to put him in. He was born in September, and he was supposed to get in, in another daycare, but they pretty much screwed us over, and told us nothing is available until May. Problem is, we've been signed up since last February, and they told us that we had a spot to get in next month.

So any good places out there. We live in South BR.

At that age it is tough- very few spaces available. Most have a long waiting list. One of the best and largest is Parkview Baptist- you should at least get on the waiting list. You never know when someone is transferred out of town and a vacancy pops up

My son goes to Guardian Angel. We love it and the people are really great. its at Highland and Old Jefferson.

Pretty cheap at 135/week too and good for a infant daycare, but I will be moving him to another school. My son is three and they only do one hour a day of actual school work (colors, alphabet, numbers, drawing). I would prefer a little more.

Yeah I doubt you will find any other place at 135 a week for infant daycare.

They'll have an opening by the time the kid hits puberty.

Young Years by OLOL was a nice place for our toddler. Country Day School has several locations and I've heard good things about them.

My one year old started Country Day on Congress Drive this week, but there is most likely no available spots.
Learning Center on Perkins is very nice, and has availability, but they cost about $220/wk.
I heard great things about Christian Life and they also have available spots.
I know Kinder Care near OLOL has some openings but I read some pretty concerning reviews online. (I do know someone there and they love it)
Good Luck.

We have used Family Christian Academy on Bluebonnet. Been very happy there. Reasonably priced.

Have to tried Kids Count off of Jefferson and Government? That is where my kids go and we absolutely love it. I have a two year old and a 10 month old.

That is the school that caused this whole dilemma.

There are a lot of good responses but also consider Color Wheel off of Sherwood. Both of my kids went though there and we loved the time there.
