Cunningham played much better off the bench

Agreed

He brings a great energy and is a good guy to pair with tyreke for catch/shoot.

He's not been fantastic shooting the 3 but that'll come as he grows more comfortable(which showed more tonight)

Dante has a good rebounding/toughness game paired with ryno.

He can also defend bigs that ryno maybe can't.

Our 3 spot has been night and day compared to early in the year.

He needs more minutes too, we probably should have more Dante and QPon on the floor at the same time. I'm guessing part of the problem tonight was they wanted to get more time for Wolters who is near the end of his 10 day contract. Less backup PG and more QPon.

Wolters did OK tonight

I guess I wouldn't be against another 10 day for him.

And we didn't trade anyone worth a shite to make that happen. Outside of the awful Gordon extension (which most teams would have done in that situation), Dell has a few tossup moves and a good number of solid wins.

You think? I wasn't impressed by him tonight at all.

I understand why he played so much, but I don't expect another contract for him.

I wasn't either but he wasn't awful

He has talent though and it's no risk

I think that probably depends on what trade options Demps has. With Jrue out we might need him just to have a backup for Jimmer. I wouldn't be opposed to giving Meckel another look. He couldn't shoot but the offense did seem to flow better with him.

Pretty tough for anyone to come in and make an immediate impact on a new team, much less a young player like him. He was solid enough. Give him some time and remember that he'd be our fourth guard for most of the season.

I guess. He just looked a step slow to me. Wasn't impressed with his vision.

Mekel looked a lot more in control in his time here. I just don't want him to shoot.

Tomorrow during practice they should have the team go through regular practice and Wolters off to the side learning how to throw lobs that won't get AD killed.

They should be doing this with all of the guards. The playoffs are a pipe dream right now. At this point, Jrue, Reke, AND EG all have a high chance at being key contributors next season. They need to practice being more aggressive, even if they add two or so extra turnovers per game. If AD is one on one with another big in the paint and he's holding his hand up, just throw him the fricking ball and take your chances.

The team has improved a great deal. There's absolutely no reason for them not to end up at least a few games over .500, but we have Monty coaching.

Q-Pon seems to be getting his confidence back that he seemed to have lost in Memphis. I am down with him starting at the three. Have Cunningham coming off of the bench for his high energy and good defense.

One thing we saw last night that I hadn't noticed in the other games was he's got a decent handle. Especially with Jrue out we really should see more QPon at SG and Dante at SF.

I never realized this either. I think they will start utilizing him more with the 2nd unit. Him starting isnt a bad idea but the bench needs his defense.
