If he stays healthy the rest of the year and plays at least 70 next year I'd think about it, but if he can't show he's past his injury issues you can't commit starting money to someone with his injury history.

Next season is a player option. He's going to make his $15 mil.

Can't we get a 1/2 season of consistent play?

After all, with jrue out, we need him to be a savior.

That's too much money for me to be comfortable considering his injury history. I'd be okay with the MLE or ~6.5 mil for 2 years but nothing more than that.

But honestly I would let him walk after next season and find another guard/wing.

He's playing well, but I'm ready for the Eric Gordon era to be over.

This.

All of you who were saying "Hopefully he plays better/stays healthy for a stretch so we can sell high on him" for the last few years are now saying to resign him? I cant say I'm surprised people forget so quickly. But personally, I want a larger sample size of him staying healthy than what we currently have. Besides, if he stays healthy, no way we're gonna be able to resign him for a fair price. We'd likely have to pay him another large-ish contract to keep him if he continues this level of play and stays healthy for this year and next.

Biggest knocks on him: salary and injuries. I would pass on him. Get someone more explosive and able to make it to game day. Even at 9-10 million per year which is a big cut from current salary would not be a good deal

If he keeps up his play over the last few games, he'll opt out.

I feel so happy for him. Dude couldn't catch a break the past couple of years. It's got to be tough for someone who was supposed to be the next best thing at SG to struggle with injury like he has.

He needs to keep playing well and inflate his stats while Jrue is out. Then trade him while his value is somewhat high before the All-Star break.

His game is solid, but he is way too much of a liability injury wise.

If he stays healthy the rest of the year, all of next year, and plays well...

we couldn't afford him

If he takes a huge pay cut and even then it'd be iffy. He doesn't want to play here

Since return:

15.8 PPG

4.7 Assists(versus 2.7 TOs)

3.3 Rebounds

1 steal

46% FG(47/102)(13 shots per game)

41.1% 3 Point %(14/34)(4 shots per game)

84.2% FT(16/19)(2.3 FTs per game)

His PER is also close to 11 right now after being awful for a majority of the season.

I excluded the WAS game due to him obviously being rusty for that game.

His shooting percentages have been pretty strong(especially from 3) since he came back.

Get him to opt out and get him to sign like a 4 year/$40 million contract.
