Barring a full implosion this season, how does LSU not open up Top 10 with B&B&M&M?

Just can't see them both staying. Martin has looked really good lately.

If one stays we likely are. If both stay, yes.

With the arrival of Simmons, we will likely be ranked high regardless of those departures. It is just how the polls seem to work. You get big time talent, you get a lofty ranking.

If Ole Miss and Florida Martin keep playing, 0% he stays. If Mizzou, Uga, A&M Martin plays, maybe like a 20%. So I'll say the odds are about at 10% Martin stays, .5% Mickey stays

not trying to be a downer, but who really cares about polls, especially is basketball?

All that really matters is your seeding in the Dance, and that's decided by the selection committee, not some silly poll. If you're intent on seeing where we are versus the rest of the country, a more useful rating is the RPI.

But I must admit I don't care at all about the polls. Just want us to win games, finish high in the SEC, and get an invitation to March Madness.

No chance that we'll keep Mickey another year. Zero chance. Martin is 50-50.

Hopefully JJ can work some kind of magic to keep Mickey around. If we can make the dance this year, maybe it'll whet Mickey's appetite.

Of the two Mickey is less ready. His skill set says he's a 4 and his body screams that he's a 3. If he doesn't come back and develop his game he will be a low draft pick and struggle to stay in the league.

no because we aren't one of the big boys of college bball. We will be top 25, but UK, Duke, Kansas, etc fill up the top ten.

We will be #1 at the end of the season and thats all that counts

I agree. Don't know how or why people are saying 0%-ish he comes back. There isn't the high risk of injury like football. He could do wonders for his stock and bottom line with another year here. And maybe, just maybe, earn a ring in the process.

Polls are meaningless in cbb. unlike cfb , the coaches and players have 100% control over winning a title.
