I am hearing Dennis Lauscha is going to be the point man once Benson passes away. I believe there is something to the talk about Rita. They realize they can't trust her to run the team the way an NFL team is run.
As far as renovations, I can't wait for them to replace the loge end zones with newer seats & upgraded lounges & concessions. Yes, that is where I sit. I wonder if this will happen any time soon. If they want another Super Bowl, they will have to do this along with new video screens.

It has been rumored for a couple of years now that Lauscha is going to be the chairman of the ownership group that Benson will pass the torch to. At that point, he'd tell Rita to GTFO.

Out of curiosity, what's the dirt on Rita? I usually skip over any Rita articles. How is it known that she's not a team player?

To be completely honest with you, a couple months back someone posted a thread on the ST with an article talking about what would happen after Benson passes away. The issue at hand was that a lot of the FO/coaches don't get along well with Rita. In fact, I heard CSP despises ol' Rita. Couldn't tell you why, and I wish I could find that article for you, but I haven't a clue to where it is. It's been months since I've seen it.

Rita being a switch hitter at times
Rita having some "issues" with needing to go away for a while sometimes. Used to involve when she hung out with Sydney Torres. Not sure if he is in the pic.
Step mommy doesn't care for her

Not too off topic, but am I missing something? I mean, I know Benson is up there in age and all, but has he not been healthy as of late or is this more of a precaution for if age caught up to Tom?

This has been brewing for quite sometime and the best thing that can happen for the future of the franchise in NOLA.
Rita being "tough to work with" doesn't even begin to tip the ice berg on how big a headcase she is. She's hired and fired dozens upon dozens on assistants on the prettiest of things. Went off on them if they didn't bring her her smoothies right, etc.
Her crazy mom used to live in an RV that was parked at the Saints facility during the season and people around the facility got the vibe that they along with the brother were circling an ill Tom Benson.
Rita was escorted from the building this week and was revoked of her Pelicans courtside seats and had her office cleared out quite publically to everyone in the facility. That crew is no longer welcome on airline
Bottom line is this is a great day for the franchises future. Gayle is a true "Saint" and is genuine and the type thats never met a stranger and makes it a point to stop and talk with everyone around the facility and she'll stay out of the way and let the football people run the football team. Well done Tom
