Some articles were posted today with reviews of the first couple of episodes. It's getting a lot of praise so far from various outlets. I hope it is as good as they are hinting at.
Warning, the linked article below may have a couple minor spoilers. I didn't even read past the quoted part below:

“Breaking Bad” spinoff “Better Call Saul” premieres on AMC next month, and it’s everything you could possibly want from a spinoff of the hit series — musical montages that pull at your heartstrings, cameos from some of your favorite Albuquerque natives, and plenty of Saul trying to talk his way out of trouble.
We’ve previewed the first two episodes of the spinoff series featuring lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), and hands down, it's one of the best midseason premieres we’ve seen so far.
There’s an incredible amount of payoff for fans of the original series, with subtle nods and references to the parent show. For those of you who may be groaning and rolling your eyes, don't worry. The show doesn’t overdo it. If you're not looking for the references, you most likely won't even see some hidden in plain sight.

SPOILER
My wife and I joked at the end of Breaking Bad, they should have shown Saul managing a Cinnabon in Lincoln, Nebraska and having to boss around a bunch of high school dropouts who DGAF. It sounds like they basically start off the show with that scene.

He went to Nebraska after BB though. This doesn't make sense

The show takes place pre-walter white

Sounds like he's implying that the show starts off with Saul in the present day and the entire series is essentially a flashback.
Which does make sense, whether or not they actually do that.

It could start out modern day and then flashback to how he was made into who he is and that is the show.

I'm wondering if the show will coincide with BB at some point in the series, without ever seeing Walter White? that could be incredible.

Because Vince and BB never had flash forwards in the series?

Vince has hinted that we will see some cameos from BB characters so I am quite certain there will be bits and pieces of BB included. It's not like they can ignore it once they get to that point in the new series. He was too involved.

Looks like Sepinwall is suggesting that they do indeed start off the series with Saul post Breaking Bad and go backwards from there.

I stand corrected then. I'm so pumped for this Saul was my favorite character.

Vince Gilligan is a genius
You have to be to create the most air tight story ever told in a TV series. If Better Call Saul is even close to as good as Breaking Bad...Vince Gilligan for President.

Yeah, I thought Vince Gilligan said he was down with the idea of having Saul drop by the high school to see a client and coming face to face with a pre-cancer, pre-meth Walter White. (think the main hangup would be Bryan Cranston's schedule) Or having Badger, Skinny Pete or Combo come in to his office with Jesse in tow.
And I also thought I heard that Gus would be in this. I mean, Saul put Walter in touch with Gus. I kinda figured they would show Gus setting up his operation with Saul as legal counsel. After all, Mike is going to be in the series.
