Where can i find if a business is still in business?

Check the Secretary of State's web page. If they are a Louisiana corporation their standing will be noted there.

Just send them a certified letter and see if it is accepted.
Texas Comptroller shows the entity is active, which simply means that their filings are up to date. The Dallas Central Appraisal District lists them on their site, which you can find by searching by address. Dallas CAD
