Mathematic inconsistency riddles

Feel free to solve this one, but I want to know if anyone knows any other ones.
3 guys walk into a a little inn, and the desk clerk charges them $10 per room. She realizes she overcharged them by $5 so she sent the bellhop back with 5 one dollar bills. He gave each of the 3 guys a dollar, leaving them paying $9 a piece for the rooms, and he took $2 for himself.
3 rooms X $9 = 27 + $2 the bellhop kept = 29
Where is the other dollar?

The other dollar isn't missing.
The new room charge is $9 ea (each being -1) so the $2 from the Bellhop would be -2, not +2.

They paid $10 per room when it should have been $8.33 per room ($25 / 3).
They should have each gotten back $1.67

They paid $30 for the rooms... it was actually $25. That's $5 they had coming back to them, they each took one back ($3) and tipped the bellhop $2.
