Arizona to require high school seniors to pass a citizenship test to graduate

First state to do this. Just signed this into law recently.

I took civics class for half a year when I was a sophomore. I thought everyone did.

Nurse, how would you fair in the exit exam?


I'm not saying it to knock you, but there is a big percentage of females that are clueless to this type of stuff. I just think it doesn't interest the female brain as much as males.

They should make them pass a test they can read in English before they could graduate HS but people would claim that is racist to blacks and Mexicans. This is a start at least.

Yeah, the kids should already be taking Civics-American History or American History-American Government so I'm not sure I see the point.

Unless Arizona does things differently.

Well considering my husband is a politics junkie...I would hope I would do ok


I've taken more interest in that type of stuff since I started dating him. Hard not to when your SO is highly interested in politics and how our country and states are run.

Taking a class your sophomore year and retaining the info for graduation are 2 different things.
