First FPS game....Destiny

Ok folks...I'm a long time PC flight simmer/MMO gamer. I'm now playing Destiny on PS4...how long does it usually take to get a handle on the FPS mechanics of the controller? I'm learning more and more..but I know I still suck at this game...

Since you don't have any FPS experience on the PC, the transition shouldn't be too bad. Keyboard and mouse is a lot more accurate and responsive with shooters, and going to a controller is the biggest complaint for anyone making the switch. Since Destiny isn't PVP, you have that going for you as well. I imagine there's auto-aim involved with that game just like every other console shooter.

What's auto aim?

Aim assist, I should say. It's almost undetectable, but when your crosshair travels over an enemy, it slows down. Magnet like.

I can't play a console fps without aim assist. ruined Wolfenstein for me
