The Tigers are capable of winning this game in the O'Connell if they play smart.

Mickey and Martin need to show up and stay out of foul trouble. Can't afford for Martin to be a spectator like the first two SEC games.

Grey has to protect the ball and stop trying to be a coast to coast hero. Set up the play and move the ball.

Coach need to get Quarterman involved early and often.

Late in the game if they find themselves up, play to freakn win , don't play to NOT lose.

And if possible, HIT UR DAMN FREETHROWS.

Prediction:

Florida 68, LSU 64

If this is the final, I'm going to predict that LSU has a 4 point lead at the 3 minute mark but jacks up a couple of 16 foot jump shots after the first pass of a possession, we will probably turn the ball over pushing a 2 vs 3 fast break, and finally give up the lead after Florida misses a shot from the lane but two Tiger defenders jumped for the blocked shot and allowed an easy put back from a man left unchecked on the other side of the goal.

Good write up

Florida already has two home losses. One to Miami and one to Florida St.

FSU was away, the other home loss was vs UCONN

This Gators team is really inconsistent so this game will depend on which UF team shows up. It seems like every game we have a stretch of 7 or 8 minutes without a FG, typically in the 2nd half. This game will go down to the wire. I'm bracing for another 2nd half meltdown and a loss.

I put in bold exactly what the problems are that we cant seem to fix. I dont see that changing against a historically good defensive florida team.

I think it is quite the opposite. I think we get the lead and blow it constantly by trying to do to much. Early on in the year we wouldnt even run clock and now we arent having good final minute possessions because the lack of situational understanding.

After the almost inexplicable collapse against aTm, the Tigers will bounce back yet again, pulling out a close one, 73-68.

People are delusional.
For the most part I agree with this. But expectations have been lifted by the constant reminder that we have two of the best big men in the country who will be leaving for the NBA next year.

I still see Mickey being muscled close to the goal and scored on at will when he doesn't have the space to rise for a block. Martin still settles for jumpers too often and stands around too much.

But I know basketball. Most people just hear how great we are and wonder why we don't win all our games. And let's face it. We could have and should have won both our conference losses this year so far.

I've got a really bad feeling about this one. I think Florida rolls. 76-60.

I hate to sound like this, but Saturday's loss has kind of deflated the enthusiasm I had for this season. Yeah, the W-L record is good on paper, but 2 of the losses are horrific. Saturday's game kind of felt like Rhode Island last year. The dagger might be all but pushed in at this point.

I dont necessarily disagree with you. However, the issues at hand, big or small, are just baffling. You as much as anyone know this team should make the NCAA tourney and anything less will be a disappointment.

A lot of my hangups with Jones are things that he should be skilled at, which is why I am extremely confused. Those who watch LSU play realize the problems we have had with Gray at point. I harp on this only because it is something that Jones should be well versed in. shite, he was a very good PG and has the experience. Therefore it is difficult to watch the way Gray conducts himself as a PG with Jones being his head coach.

I can get past certain flaws because every coach has them, but late game situations and PG play should be two calling cards of Jones and that is far from the case. Hell after a timeout in the A&M game, he put Gray back in the game, Jones drew up the play for Gray to drive with the option to dish to Hornsby in the corner. But we were only down one at had plenty of time to run a set. He had 3 timeouts at the end of game that went to waste and could have been used to slow down aggie runs.

I just leave these games confused more-so than satisfied with the outcome.

Yep. There's a good chance we are 2-4 after this week looking dead in the eye of another 9-9 season. We'll be a 4-5 point dog vs Vandy.

Before the conference season, if you had told me LSU would be 2-2 with a home loss, I would have guessed losses to OM and UGA. Strange year and as someone alluded to earlier maybe it holds and LSU pulls this out. The Gator seems to think the same about UF.

I'll be watching for sure!

FIFY. Only the Dominion loss is a respectable loss at this point.
