For about a week, what would you choose?

Or if you have been and have a memorable experience in a certain area, it would be cool to hear some stories. Next vacation I'm wanting to plan a getaway.

Trying to get some ideas to decide.

Personally I have no desire to hunt large animals like moose or grizzly. I would sight see and fish...

Moose for sure. They have a really good sense of smell and are very dangerous to bow hunt. My dad has done a lot of big game hunting and moose is his favorite animal to hunt.

I would love to have a big bull's head hanging up in my office.

I can speak somewhat personally to this topic since my uncle is retired Coast Guard in Kodiak AK. His last Brown bear hunt was a near death experience with him getting tunnel vision following a bear path through the thick vegetation. The bear jumped out and surprised him and luckily he fired off three rounds, mainly from fear, and killed it. The moose was way too much meat. He loves salmon fishing and halibut fishing. He's a cool guy with awesome stories but bear and moose are threats to humans up there, unlike anything we have down here.

Would be cool to have a rack like that mounted.

Yeah, it would be a hell of an experience to have to go through that. Never too much meat, I'd give a lot of it away to my family.

Moose was some of the best meat I've ever eaten. So I'd go with that.

I've had fresh salmon from AK and it was very good but if I'm spending a week solid fishing I think I'd rather be offshore.

Out of those three I would pick fishing for Salmon.

I have always wanted to catch a halibut though.

Dude, a bear in the woods is like a vw beetle on crack that can run like a horse. I am not hunting that. Fly fishing for salmon, all say.

Halibut is similar to reeling in a grouper

Eta:I'd shoot a moose, more exciting fish down here
