Sure. It isn't as "icky". And if it it a hot female teacher, people are congratulating the student for a job well done, right? Pointing at the weirdos from Pennsylvania is much easier than accepting horrible things happen all around.

I could go on with how that is incorrect, but I will just concede that Sandusky's crimes are worse. My point is finger pointing is a worthless endeavor at best, and at worst it empowers the local pedophile to be able to continue doing what they want without fear of being discovered. From the Penn State fan side of the house, using social media to roast the school official for stating their valid opinion also damages the process of putting an end to child abuse.
